It’s been a little while since I’ve updated my website. Sharon Ideas Inc has kept me very busy, but also been busy in my personal life, with having recently gotten married. I told my husband I am only planning one wedding in my lifetime! Being a very detailed person, I planned every detail of my wedding, made all my own decorations, flower arrangements, etc and had the wedding of my dreams. But now that it is done and over with, life settles back into the routine.
Routine can have it’s drawbacks and good qualities. It helps me stay focused, and get done what I need to get done, but at the same time, it’s tempting to get lazy, and not put forth everything that one can. Whenever I find myself slipping this way, I focus on something new. Lately I’ve been experimenting with Selenium. While manual testing is my passion and what I hold dear to my heart, I want to expand what I know. Selenium seems like a great open source automated testing tool but there is a lot to learn. The online tutorial for it is very long but has great step by step instructions. I am excited to be learning something new that hopefully someday in the near future I can add to my arsenal of testing tools.
If anyone has experience with Selenium I would love to know what your experience is and how you learned how to use it and if you have any tips and tricks to share.
